capilla has been working in the field of regeneration/RetroFIT (capiFit/capiTool) of components for many years.

In recent years, this has been done more and more frequently with the help of sensors and 3D technology, both on site and in the workshop. This technology is now state of the art in the field of preventive maintenance.

Here, components are scanned, the surfaces to be coated or functional surfaces for a planned coating are automatically selected or areas of particularly stressed wear are selected.

By cladding using, for example, laser powder, laser wire, plasma powder and/or TIG hot wire etc., the surface material removed by wear such as abrasion, cavitation, adhesion, surface disruption or corrosion is specifically replaced with a new functional layer.

Alternatively, functional layers with improved surface properties are specifically applied as the base material in highly stressed or highly loaded areas of the component. However, the necessary ductility of the component is retained.

Analysis, evaluation and determination of the wear rate is carried out by automatically comparing the actual and target geometry. This comparison can be carried out and compared automatically by usig an existing STP model of the same assembly or using an existing scan of the same component.

Both files are superimposed and evaluated using software. This usually produces a false color image, which visualizes the so-called wear rate in color.
